A Nick News Special - Kids, Race and Unity
In the wake of humanitarian events in 2020, this video was created to promote a special on Nickelodeon hosted by Alicia Keys that explored the issues we face today regarding racism. This was an international campaign that I produced and edited.
Systemic racism has always been an issue, particularly in America. In the year 2020, we saw unprecedented protests in regards to racism. But this spot was created to heighten awareness around the national holiday Juneteenth that is often overlooked. It was crucial this year to get this message out and to honor Black history.
VegOut CLT 2019 Promo
Partnering with The Humane League, a non-profit for ending the abuse of animals raised for food, we activated a month long vegan challenge. Calling on local Charlotte restaurants to create and implement at least 1 vegan dish on their menu while challenging individuals to go on a plant based diet for 30 days, this promo was created to be a call-to-action for people to join the challenge. This shows that videos created from only photographs can still be powerful.
Only happening every 10 years, the US Census is extremely important for US citizens to take part in. There are many reasons why the census is so important and this video utilizes live action and animated characters and actors from Nickelodeon shows to deliver the message.
Together For Good - Great Barrier Reef
This promo is part of a larger series that outlines the various reasons why the Great Barrier Reef is in danger. It explores all the reasons why it's suffering as well as delivers messaging on ways to help preserve this natural wonder. Utilizing stock images and various clips from SpongeBob SquarePants, this international awareness campaign was not only fun to work on, but extremely rewarding as a nature lover.
